As we are based in the European Union, all personal data collected through this site is
processed in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What Personal Data We Collect and Why

Comments

When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comment form, plus the
visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help detect spam.

An anonymized hash of your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to check
whether you have an account there. See Gravatar’s privacy policy at
automattic.com/privacy. If your comment is
approved, your profile picture is publicly visible next to your comment.

Legal basis: consent (you submit the comment voluntarily).

Media

If you upload images to the site, avoid files containing embedded location data (EXIF GPS).
Visitors can download and extract location data from any image on the site.

Contact Forms

If you submit a contact or quote request form, we collect the information you provide
(e.g. name, email, message) solely to respond to your inquiry.

Legal basis: legitimate interest / pre-contractual steps taken at your request.

Cookies

  • If you comment, you may opt in to save your name, email, and website in a cookie for
    convenience. This cookie lasts one year.
  • A temporary cookie checks whether your browser accepts cookies when you visit the login page.
    It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close the browser.
  • Login cookies last two days (two weeks with “Remember Me”); screen-options cookies last one year;
    both are removed on logout.
  • Editing or publishing an article sets an additional cookie with the post ID, expiring after one day.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand traffic and site usage. Google Analytics collects data
such as IP address (anonymized) and browser type. You can opt out using the
Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Embedded Content

Pages may include embedded content (videos, images, articles) from other websites. This content
behaves as if you visited that website directly, and it may collect data, set cookies, or track
your interaction, particularly if you are logged into that third-party service.

Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share data only with service providers necessary
to operate the site (e.g. spam filtering, analytics, hosting), each bound by their own data
protection obligations.

How Long We Retain Data

Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so follow-up comments can be
recognized automatically. Contact form submissions are kept only as long as needed to handle
the inquiry, then deleted or anonymized within 12 months unless a legal obligation requires
longer retention.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EU, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request a portable export of your data
  • Lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority, ANSPDCP
    (www.dataprotection.ro)

Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (secure hosting, restricted admin
access, regular updates) to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, or
disclosure.

Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach likely to result in risk to your rights, we will notify the
competent supervisory authority within 72 hours and inform affected users without undue delay,
as required by the GDPR.

Automated Decision-Making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling based on your personal data.

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last
